Biography:
Jeremy has been in the media and mobile industries for over 17 years and is the CEO of Zygo, the mobile group messaging company.
Initially in the advertising business, Jeremy looked after media strategy and negotiation for a number of blue chip brands in some of London’s greatest full service agencies including M&C Saatchi and WCRS – where he worked on the launch of the Orange brand back in 1994.
Having consumed far too many lunches, in 2000 he decided to sail across the marketing waters to work for the mobile phone operator directly - heading up Orange’s commercial content and partnerships, mobile advertising and mobile commerce units for their fledging new media and innovation division. And in 2002 he set up Orange UK’s 3rd Party Solutions division to enable media brands to connect and bill their own customers directly through Orange’s network.
As part of an investigation exploring ‘the hype’ surrounding mobile communities and social networking services, the seed of their mobile group messaging service appeared - and Jeremy left Orange with a number of colleagues to form Zygo.
Zygo launched directly to consumers in March 2008 and has since received generous helpings of industry recognition including being a Red Herring Top 100 and AO Global 250 Winners.
