Teleflip Sends Free SMS Text Messages Via Email to Any US-Based Phone Number

Today I found a site called Teleflip that lets you use Outlook or whetever email client you prefer to SMS anyone in the USA. Yes, that’s the catch: it’s US-based only for now, but it’s FREE and it works.

I know it’s cool, but…. this is ONLY because its free.  It’s annoying the way the networks are configured in the US.  You can email to 1255333787@operator.com (for example) and it’s delivered by text to the handset.  Try doing this in the UK!  No way!  Someone has to pay, and it ain’t the mobile operators.  Good luck to the folk at Teleflip though.
