Link: Mashable*.
I added Mashable to my list of blogs after reading Justin’s favourites earlier today. They’ve just posted a note about Motionbox…
Motionbox is a nicely-designed, barebones YouTube rival – you can upload your videos using the web-based uploader, tag them and make them public or private. You can also email video clips from your cellphone. The videos are transcoded in Flash, but Motionbox stores the original file so you can download it later.
I’m off to check to see if it’ll work with my N90.
My kingdom for the ability for me to take a video ON the N90 and mail it or ShoZu it to this blog COMPLETE with flash transcoding.
cool, but you can do the same thing with youtube and your mobile no?
Nah, Youtube hasn’t worked for me since they launched. Motionbox worked in terms of the upload. I used ShoZu to send the 2mb video to Motionbox… so I now have a URL that I can send people to see the video, but no player that I can easily include on the blog 😐 (and no automatic forwarding to blog function)
