The cursory Vodafone Shop glance

Nothing much happening in the mobile shops this week. I had a look in each. The Orange shop by Liverpool Street was totally empty. Not good at midday in the city of London, eh?

Vodafone was busy. o2 was quite packed, for some strange reason. And the T-mobile affiliated store was filled to the brim.

Back to the Vodafone store — these are pretty cool services they have lifted here. I like ‘walk out talking’. No use buying a phone and then having to wait 24 hours to charge it.

I also like their ‘free phone recharge’ service — although I haven’t *ever* seen anyone using it, or heard of anyone walking into a Vodafone store and asking for this. Have you? I wonder how it works. Do you just walk in, give’em over your phone and go and get a coffee?

  1. I’ve used this service loads of times.
They never even ask if I’m a vodafone customer.

What they should start doing though is what they do in Leicester Square Odeon.

There are these lockers in there where you can leave your phone on charge while you watch a movie.

Brilliant idea if you ask me.
They should put them in clubs and bars too.

There’s money to be made there!
