Frucall adds mobile social networking

Link: New Text and Social Messaging Features Expand Frucall’s Voice-Based, Mobile Comparison Shopping Service.
I was just talking about Frucall yesterday I think… here’s a bit of news on them – they’ve added two new features…

When selecting Frucall Text, an SMS message containing the product’s pricing and vendor information is immediately sent to the Frucall user’s mobile phone.

Normally you’re getting the information during the phone call you see, so it’s rather convenient to have it whacked to you by text afterwards.

The second addition –

Frucall Buddy List Messaging lets users send voice and text messages to friends, families and groups they define. Users can record voice or text messages that are sent instantly to everyone within their selected Buddy List groups. Buddy List Messaging works on all phones and is not limited to phone numbers on the same carrier network. Normal carrier charges apply to receiving text messages.

Interesting, interesting. I wonder if I can try this out. I suspect it’ll be US users only at the moment.
