I’m serious about mobile messaging.
So when I saw a flippin’ huge interstitial advert telling me that,
If you’re serious about mobile messaging, you sould get Sybase (paraphrasing)
on Forbes.com, I thought, ‘Isn’t Sybase some sort of database company?’
Seriously, the first thing I thought when I read the advert text was Good Mobile Messaging. I wondered why they’d adopted a bold Orange colour. Not the thing to do when you’ve got a big mobile operator also using that colour.
Anyway Sybase are apparently into mobile messaging.
I knew they bought Mobile365… but, you know. Sybase?
Anyway when I hunted around Forbes.com I couldn’t find any mention. I was trying to find a link for you.
Strange that, eh? They’ve paid a load to feature on the interstitial — but when I come to try and find a link for you, they are nowhere to be seen at a glance on forbes.com.
If you try going to this link, you might see it.

My thoughts as well when the Mobile365 (sorry Sybase365) announcement came out. But if you have a look around their site you’ll see they have loads of Mobile stuff. AvantGo is probably one of the better know names.
Somebody in Sybase is looking to Mobile as a serious direction for the company.
Sybase are the power behind a couple of mobile apps that we use and support. Their support is awful. 🙂
Deary me 🙁
