| Bluetooth brings Egyptians love at first bite

No longer a young Egyptian constrained by social and Islamic convention, he becomes a lover-on-the-lookout, known as “Deviant but Professional”.At the tables around him sit potential dates like “Pretty Girl” and rival suitors such as “Flirty Boy”, all using Bluetooth mobile phones to sidestep the Muslim nation’s strict moral code.

Pretty cool use of the technology. Although I’ve always had difficulty sending messages via Bluetooth. It’s never appeared really simple to me.

When I read this article in today’s Telegraph, I immediately thought of one I read in the Washington Post in August last year — almost exactly the same, only it’s set in Saudi Arabia. If you’ve got a few minutes, have a look at the similarities.
