  1. Over here in Australia, we see a lot of that – nice cars and old phones belonging to the same people. But there’s a reason for it (at least, here there is). All those inbuilt car-kit options that high-end car manufacturers love don’t fit newer phones.

    I’ve had quite a few people ask me where they can get really old Nokias, because the compatability list their Mercedes dealer gave them isn’t that long, and isn’t that recent.

    I actually asked a guy at Mercedes about this, and he said it’s because car manufacturers getting licenses to build accessories for late-model phones is rare.

    Or maybe there just is no accounting for taste.
