By texting the word TENNIS to 88800 players, parents, coaches or fans can contribute to the British game.

For just £1.50 text entrants can win 2007 Wimbledon tickets, iPods and a host of money can’t buy tennis prizes, such as autographed rackets by Britain’s stars and the chance to play on the grass courts of Wimbledon.

GBTG Director Victoria Davies says: ‘We’re excited to be able to offer the chance to win great prizes and support British tennis without asking for big donations.
‘With all profits going directly towards the U18 Pro-5000 event, which we hope to run at the end of the year, a successful SMS campaign could leave the organisation in the position to run a senior event too.”

Nice to see this sort of marketing technique actually being used by organsations such as this.

I hope it’s successful. In the spirit of encouragement, I knocked off a text message as instructed above and I’ve now entered the competition!
