Spotted: Westlife’s Kian, and he’s a Blackberry user

Still at Mar Hall.

As I closed my room door and walked toward the stairs this afternoon (en route to the sauna), I spied a little dog running along towards me. Walking behind it was a chap holding it’s lead. I smiled at him – you know, friendly acknowledgement, the sort of thing you do in Scotland. He smiled back and he walked down the stairs as I followed. Then I heard a PINNNNNNNNNNG. A submarine ping. Coming from his back pocket.

Ah hah! There it was again! PINNNNNNNNNNNNG!

‘Blackberry!’ I thought.

Aye. See, the newer Blackberries all have that sound installed as standard. You can pick it to be your text notification. This chap clearly had done.

I found out it was somebody from the heartthrobbing Westlife when I returned from the sauna and had to pile my way through a load of excitable teenage girls and their mothers bearing Westlife posters, marker pens and Sony Ericsson K800s (to take the pics).

So there you go. SMS Text News brings you CLOSER to the stars.
