TxtDrop releases free desktop texting gadget for Vista users

Picture 11Fresh after conquering their 200k text milestone, TxtDrop have just released what I believe is the first and only Windows Vista gadget to offer unrestricted free texting from the desktop. If you’re using Windows Vista, it’s definitely worth taking a look. There are no strings — just free texting, provided you don’t abuse the system.

Remember I did a post about their Mac OS X widget? Here’s the background:

Earlier this year TxtDrop.com launched its text messaging Dashboard Widget for Mac OS X, enabling users to send free SMS messages from their OS X desktop. TxtDrop’s Mac OS X Widget and Windows Vista Gadget both enable users to receive replies to their messages directly via their desired email account, a feature exclusively available at this time through the Widget and Gadget.

“We’re excited to officially release our Windows Vista Gadget for all our Windows users and to compliment our OS X Widget. We want to be able to offer our service to as many people as possible,” said company officials.

Very cool. You can get the Vista Gadget here.
