The Apple iPhone free on a £35/month UK contract?

Here’s an interesting post from the Dial-a-Phone chaps last month.

We would estimate that if the iPhone were to be released now it would be available free on a £35 a month tariff, with no additional discount.

Now, the Dial-a-Phone chaps know a thing or two about mobile handsets, subsidies and the like here in the UK so I imagine that their comments can be taken as reasonably accurate.

And working on that basis, an iPhone for £35/month… geez, it would sell like hotcakes. No doubt the Dial-a-Phone chaps are keeping their eyes on iPhone news — they’re well known as a good place to go to get yourself a top quality device on a decent contract. My brother got the old Nokia N90 from them on o2 ages ago.

  1. AGREE… Apple have already stated the RSP for the iPhone, and APPLE selling something for FREE… The only thing I can see will be the Ipod once this phone hits the shelves and dents the mobile industries usual players
