Link: Qwest Offers Military Grade Mobile Phone

Do you constantly wreck mobiles through mistreatment? In the habit of going rock climbing, working in dangerous environments, or dropping your mobile from a great height? Then US mobile network Qwest might have the answer.

The company have just added the Sanyo SCP-7050 mobile – which meets the US military specs for vibration, dust and shock – to it’s range of handsets. Featuring a speakerphone, a rubber shell and voice-activated dialing, it’s perfect for harsh environments.

According to Frank Simanson, VP of product at Qwest, “This latest phone from Qwest is perfect for people who work in rugged industries and equally great for people who like to play hard. So, whether you’re an avid rock climber or a construction foreman, this is the phone for you.”
