SMS Text News Awards – get your entries in

We’ve had more than 300 entries for the SMS Text News Awards ’08 already. It’s pretty shocking, and I wasn’t quite aware I was letting myself in for so much reading, but we’re now electing a board of judges…

It’s a fantastic response and I don’t think we’ve seen the end of the entries by any means.

The categories are:

  3. Best marketing campaign
  4. Best public social use of mobile
  5. Best business person in the mobile industry
  6. Best user
  7. Best mobile marketing manager
  8. Best CSR story
  9. Best instant messaging tool
  10. Most innovative operator
  11. Best blogger
  12. Industry hero
  13. Industry villain
  14. Best service
  15. Best gadget
  16. Best reader
  17. Best use of SMS text message
  18. Best value product

If you’d like to submit an entry (awards@smstextnews.com), the deadline is July 25th. Results will be announced in August, so stand by for details on that…
Entries can tell us anything you think will win you a prize but can be a maximum of only 500 words.

  1. Best instant messaging tool: It all started in May, 2007. I met this girl who liked texting. She liked it so much, she was sending me a dozen messages a day. Back then, I had a Samsung T-509 and a desk job … The idea of replying to her on this tiny candy bar was not fun… A year later, things changed. The software has been built. It has been built to liberate me and other sufferers. It's called easy PC texting. Exclusevly at: http://www.easypctexting.com :o)
