INQ1 Watch: Unboxing the INQ1

Our INQ 1 has just arrived by speedy courier from those lovely people at 3 and their PR company 3-Monkeys.

Once again we thought we’d bring you the delights and treats of the unboxing ceremony, in an effort to share with you our pleasure or not as the case may be.

Think of it as another Christmas come early; the tree is lit, the cracking of the fireplace, The Queen’s message playing in the background ..

Now the mood is set, we’ll begin …

The INQ 1 about to be unboxed, drum roll please ….

The INQ 1 unboxed, tadarrrr!

The INQ 1 unboxed, a little bit closer

The INQ 1 unboxed, everything inside

The INQ 1, powered up and all works well!

The INQ 1, da main menu.

That’s it for now folks.

After we’ve spend some time with it, well share our findings and thoughts

  1. Very keen to get one of these… Would be good to know how well / easily it syncs contacts with a Mac though before I plunk down £80…

  2. I received my INQ1 on Friday too.

First impressions are very good. The display is bigger and better resolution than those in the S1 and S2 models. The UI has a new and sharper feel – I particularly like the application widgets and multi-sync contact list which pulls in details from Skype, Facebook and MSN Live! – including photos.

The INQ1 is also fitted with a motion sensor – moving the handset from portrait to landscape changes the display accordingly.

Battery and USB headset are different to those offered in S1 and S2 packages.

Mine INQ arrived with 1 GB micro SD bundled.

    More details later.

  3. I don't think the FaceBook, Skype or WLM stuff would work if you did that. They use proprietary gateways in the 3 network to access these services AFAIK.
