Here are the shownotes…

I flew into San Francisco Airport at 4pm on Monday 1st of June, waited for the array of television camera luggage that I’d brought with me and promptly rushed out to the taxi rank. I grabbed the biggest cab I could find and pointed the chap in the direction of Palo Alto. 2 hours later I was shaking hands with Kate Imbach, Marketing Director of Skyhook Wireless at Mobile Monday Silicon Valley. (Kate’s also one of the event organisers).

The first ever episode of Mobile Developer TV was filmed at Mobile Monday Silicon Valley held back in downtown San Francisco. This month they decided to move it to the heart of ‘the valley’. Judging by the numbers — what, 200, 300 people? — there’s a massive and growing community of people specifically interested in the medium of mobile in the area.

In this episode, I worked hard to capture a bit of the environment at the start — you’ll see the Silicon Valley mobile crowd in their natural habitat then we jump straight into interviews — first up is Regd from mobile social firm, Skout. (There’s an episode of the full interview coming shortly). Then we check in with Rhomobile who offer an open mobile framework for mobile developers (enables you to develop mobile applications using ruby and html!) and finally, we have a quick chat to Martin Tannerfors who’s heading up Developer Relations for Samsung’s Mobile Innovator program. I’m hoping to pop down and interview Martin and the Samsung team in more detail. For now, check out innovator.samsung.com for more details.

Enjoy the episode. If you’re reading via feed, just click back to visit the page and you’ll see the video embedded above. As always now, you can get a feed directly to your iPhone (or any other podcast-enabled device) via our podcast feed. More details here.
