Get an unlocked Apple iPhone from T-Mobile UK!

If you’re a T-Mobile UK customer and desperate, desperate, desperate for an Apple iPhone 3G, then you might be in luck. Provided you’re a high spending customer and you’re threatening to defect to o2, T-Mobile may well send you an official unlocked iPhone to use on their network, in order to keep you happy.

The Register has the details:

T-Mobile UK has started supplying iPhone 3G handsets to selected customers, while O2 UK continues to believe it has a UK exclusive on Apple’s last-generation handset.

Apple’s 3G handset won’t be available to just any T-Mobile customer – only high spenders who threaten to leave need apply, and only 150 of those a week will be lucky enough to get their hands on an officially-supported T-Mobile iPhone, though even that risks annoying Apple and will certainly have O2 up in arms.

Are any MIR readers going to give this one a shot?

  1. Just did…I am on T-Mobile Solo (paying £20 a month) although I have been with T-Mobile for over 3 years paying for most of it £35 a month.

I was offered free iPhone 3G + 800mins, unlimited texts and unlimited Internet for £35/month. Best of all, they expect to release the iPhone 3GS next January on better terms and will allow me to upgrade both phone and contract for free!!!!

I am going back to o2 tomorrow to return my phone, cancel the contract and go with T-Mobile's offer!
