I was invited to speak at the Twitter Developer Nest event tonight by Angus Fox, one of the organisers. He asked if I’d be willing to do a ‘state of the nation’ mobile applications presentation, but customise it to the audience of (desktopish) developers potentially interested in going mobile.
“Bring it on!” I said.
So I shall be there from 6pm this evening — if you’d like to come along, entry is free, but you do need to register.

Empowering everyone to help everyone can be more valuable than money and
can be done cheeply/free by sharing or giving free items (software)

more efficiently by creating institutional innovation. This can be used
by anyone no matter how much money they have (especially as they use the
funds to spend them in the most creative way they can come up with so

One great way to solve problems is to ask the person asking the question
(problem finder) if they know of the answer or if they can look into
solving it so they become the problem solver too:)

It's pretty shocking when you sit back and consider that mobile is actually a huge, huge medium in itself!
Ed, Nokia are making some massive, massive strides in this area, particularly in the developing world where a mobile handset is often the first (and only) 'computer' that people come across. So in the context of delivering banking services, communication services and so on, Nokia is helping change lives across the planet. They've got some really good projects that I think you could well promote and/or work with.
