The ipadio widget is cool though weird how the length of the recording grows as it is downloaded – as a user you expect it show the total length from the outset.
Also when you click on the timeline you expect the slider to jump to where you click, but it doesn't.
That aside, thanks for the gaming tip 🙂
Nice one Dave, what do you think of the concept of the audio review? I'll ask them about the widget..
I'm a big podcast fan, as I can listen while I'm commuting/walking etc. when it's hard to read, and so make best use of my time when I'm forced to do that… but I'm not sure two minute reviews are 'worth' it, when you may be in an environment where you can't put sound on, or you would rather just skim through a blog post instead. Also I'm guessing that the Flash widget won't work on (m)any mobile devices as yet, which kind of defeats the purpose! At least offer an MP3 version, and a transcript? Though I imagine easier not to bother and just type your review.
Yeah that's the problem, it's often quicker — and a lot more visual — to type it and stick in a screenshot…
Maybe, if you're gonna do something non-text, do video. Should be easy to film on a modern phone (I reckon you must have a few lying about!), and you can show the app as well as talk about it, and get a bit more personality involved too. I've only known of you and your brand for a week now (since the Twitter devnest) but it comes across that even though it's called MIR, it's all about you and your opinion, so you should step up and take centre (visual) stage 🙂
Aye, doing the videos quickly and easily is a bit of an arse though. It's a shame there's no decent screen recording stuff that's good enough for games…
Sorry, I meant just use one phone to film the screen of another (with you talking to the camera before/after perhaps). Won't look amazing but it should do for a quick review.

Hmm… I'll try that one Dave
