I’ve deployed Mobile Developer TV with Ovi App Wizard

Whilst the challenges continue with Nokia, one of the recent shining lights for me is the Ovi App Wizard system. It enables you to specify a few RSS feeds, a logo and some colours… and boom, an application is created that works on almost all Ovi-compatible handsets.

It’s ridiculously easy to use. Just register and get started testing out — all you need is an RSS feed to begin. And it’s free.

I published Mobile Industry Review’s app a while ago and I’m delighted that it’s still getting a lot of use. Indeed, in the last 7 days, it’s had 104 users and 419 page views. I decided to create a dedicated Mobile Developer TV app with the wizard … because I can. And because it’s toooooo easy. I think I created it in about 5 minutes flat.

And it’s doing very well. Much better than Mobile Industry Review actually. Here are the headline stats:

Wooo.

Do check out the Ovi App Wizard. And if you’d like to see a video of me making the MIR one, check this post out.
