This week I was delighted to havea my question featured on the All About Symbian podcast. It’s one of the most informative and entertaining podcasts that I check in with on a regular basis.
I saw the team tweet asking for questions to answer and debate during the podcast so here’s the one I submitted to them:
How would America react to Nokia announcing 2-top of the range Android handsets? (serious discussion please!)
Of course Nokia is never going to deliver an Android device — but how did the All About Symbian team handle the question? Well, they didn’t disappoint. Thank you guys.
Check out the podcast over here to listen to the sparks fly.
The reaction would be much more positive than releasing Meego phones, that's for sure. Nokia should really consider going Android, or it will be too late for them to adopt it when they drop down to 20% marketshare. I explained better why this is, in this article

Heh.. “I like what you wrote, here's a link to a piece to that I wrote!” ..I love those kind of comments.
Nokia using Android would be a huge, even fatal mistake. Why on earth would you downgrade your OS so drastically? Compared to Symbian, Android is horribly immature, unstable and missing features and it runs in a virtual machine for goodness sake! Talk about a backwards step! Like so many who are inexperienced with both OSes (I don't know if you are) you have been seduced by a pretty interface. There is a reason Android requires high spec CPUs to give half decent performance. It's called poor engineering. Symbian's by far the most efficient and capable mobile OS out there. Better in many respects than Meego incidentally.
Nokia is facing feirce competion from Android and iPhone, good luck.
