Matt Mason: Can piracy be a path to innovation?

By all accounts Matt Mason gave a very well received presentation at MIPTV’s Connected Creativity conference last week. I was only able to watch snippets and rely on the Stuart Dredge liveblog (you can now see the full presentation at that link).

The broad thrust of Matt’s presentation was to point out that content piracy can actually be a positive force for connected content. The smart thing to do, Matt maintains, is to copy pirates:

You can find more information on Matt and his book at The Pirate’s Dilemma.
