I just got an email in from Touchnote’s top man, Raam Thakrar. Eagle-eyed readers will have noted the post I published earlier today about Postagram (from Sincerely), one of the newest entrants into the postcard marketplace.
In my post, I commented that, from my viewpoint, Touchnote’s iPhone application has been left idling — given the huge amount of activity that’s been going on with Android (and their highly impressive implementation on Windows Phone).
Raam saw the post and had this to say:
Thanks for the comments on the Touchnote app – we’ve been closely following Postagram, of course. Quite honestly, it’s great to see other guys entering this market.
Our new iOS app will be live very shortly. It’s significantly improved compared to our current offering – if our old iOS app has “been left idling” (err, an accurate description) then our new app is a massive improvement.
It should be out in the market in the next 10 days or so at most. We’re really excited about it.

Well that’s great news, Raam. Bring it on! I’m very excited to see what you’ve done with it, especially since the other platform implementations are looking so nice.
Indeed the other platforms have moved on. Any idea when it was that they stopped Symbian support?
From memory it was quite a while ago!
Indeed it must have been. I sort of thought I had an old version working on my N8 but it “worked” only twice… Ah well. I shouldn’t complain, they at least have a Windows Phone 7 version… Now we just need Elop to pony up some phones…
