I’ve just booked my 2015 Mobile World Congress trip for £145 with British Airways

british airways to barcelona

Now hear this: Get off your butts, folk.

Don’t get nutted by Mobile World Congress travel prices in February next year.  I’ve just paid £76 each way to British Airways for my flights to Barcelona from London Heathrow.

Mobile World Congress takes place in 2015 from the 2nd to 5th of March (Monday-Thursday).

I’m not exactly sure what I’m going to do about attending the show. I would obviously love to go for the full week. However like this year, my consulting work is likely to get in the way. Most clients are sympathetic to me needing to attend the world’s largest mobile exhibition, however my wife and the accountant don’t always agree.

This year I did a one-day trip to the event. It was brilliant. Of course it was far too short though — I actually only went for one day. I flew out in the morning and came back on the last flight. You can read all about my experience and the various ‘hacks’ I used here: How to do Mobile World Congress in one day for £156 (plus entry!).

If you’re thinking of going next year, or put frankly, if you *ARE* going, then get a move on and get the flights and hotel (or AirBnb) booked now. Don’t leave it, folks.

I’m right.

And finally, I’ve put my money where my mouth is and committed £146 so I can be there on the Wednesday. That looked to be the best price.

I think that’s a small price to pay for the piece of mind that I *can* be at MWC if I wish next year. If nearer the time I decide to go for longer, so be it. I’ll need to pony up the extra cash.

So who’s with me?

Have you booked your travel yet?

Here are the basic logistical details you need for next year’s event.

  1. Book the whole week Ewan. Just do it!
I’d love to get to MWC. But don’t work in the world of mobile! Maybe one day!
