Going Mobile is Getting New Crowds into Bingo

If you want your business to do well, you need to be on top of the latest trends, right? Well, being mobile friendly is so far past a trend by now that if your business isn’t already aware of that, you’re probably no longer in business at all. Google algorithms don’t like websites that aren’t mobile friendly, and that’s because consumers don’t, either. They punish sites that aren’t optimised for mobile use, placing them lower in search results. After all, they’re just trying to give people what they want; and given that 51% of online traffic is from a mobile device, it’s easy to see why that is. If you’re not offering access to over half of the people who might want to view your site, you’ve lost a huge edge compared to your competitors!

Thankfully, the big industries are well aware of this and one industry that’s benefiting from doing things properly is the bingo industry.

Bingo: Getting Modern By Going Mobile

Bingo has had to adapt to the changing social landscapes and move online, but now simply being online isn’t enough. Bingo providers have invested in making sure that their graphics and interface translate to mobile, and it doesn’t stop there. If the aim of the game (excuse the pun) is to improve accessibility through allowing people to use your site wherever they are, it certainly makes sense to push this as far as it can go.

Many sites do this by offering apps that you can download to play on the go. However, it’s now not enough just to allow people to log on from anywhere – they need to be able to immerse themselves in the full experience from anywhere, too. Just because a player has found their way onto the site, doesn’t mean that they’re going to be able (or willing) to spend money right away. If they’ve jumped on a bus up the road, they may not have their means of payment to hand. These days, you can make a bingo deposit by phone bill, for complete ease. Customers welcome that convenience, as all they need is their phone, without messing around with anything else. Thanks to ever-improving technologies and the ease of the rules of bingo and slots, it’s no surprise that gaming has been one of the biggest industries to benefit from the digital revolution.

Look Who’s Playing

It’s all a game of demographics. Nobody is saying that people aren’t using desktops anymore, but the shift to the majority use of mobiles instead is a reflection of the fact that so many people have smartphones. This is a great thing for bingo, because younger people have them in their droves – meaning a much larger audience for a game that’s been previously reserved for the older generations. 70% of the British adult population have a smartphone, which taps into a whole range of people to appeal to.

Luckily, the bingo sites are on it. They’re catering to everyone. From the young adults who want games themed after the TV shows and movies they’re watching, to the older customers who prefer things a little more traditional, they’ve got it covered. If anything, mobile gaming is really nothing revolutionary at all. In fact, it simply provides companies with a chance to prove that they understand the business models that they were supposed to have knowledge of all along; in an albeit more contemporary, state-of-the-art way.
