Podcasting for mobile

Link: Mobile Podcasting Blog: It’s Confirmed: Podcasts Are Going Mobile.

Wireless Asia and Mike Chapman an analyst for eMarketer is reporting in a website post that is titled “Podcasting to go truly mobile”.

I’ve been keeping an eye on Rob Greenie’s site to measure the state of the mobile podcast market.

One large portion of my itunes/ipod usage is devoted to a wide array of podcasts. If I can have them arriving on my mobile in the background or on-demand, I could well see me leaving my ipod at home.

Add to this the new generation of 4gb-equipped mobile handsets and the future looks uncertain for my ipod. I wonder if I’ll be walking around with one in two years time?
