Reminder service Kwiry has announced some nifty little updates, bringing Amazon and Netflix into the fold. Kwiry works essentially like clever Post It notes – you text reminders like ‘pick up dry cleaning’ or the name of a song you’ve heard and want to write down before you forget it to a short code. Kwiry then integrates it with whatever application you like, like your calendar, RSS or Facebook feed, or you can get your reminders emailed to you. All very clever.
Now kwiry has got two new additions – Amazon and Netfilx. For the former you can now send texts and get the name of a film, book, whatever added to you Amazon wishlist. For the latter, you can get films added straight to your Netflix queue.
It’s a very clever little piece of software, but there is one minor gripe. It’s a US only service at the moment and while there is a workaround for international users, it would be nice to see a dedicated service for those of us on the other side of the pond.
Hi Julia – thanks for the kind and thorough post! We'd love to expand with a dedicated shortcode for other countries (the UK and Canada in particular) and plan to do so but we're quite a small start-up at the moment and the costs and overhead are substantial. In the meantime though, we definitely encourage our international users to use our email, Twitter and mobile web inputs. Send us thoughts or feedback anytime to feedback AT kwiry DOT com!
