MIR Developers: Rebecca & Kathrin of GoSpoken

Remember we invited 15 interesting companies focusing on mobile development to a small networking event in London last week? Well I promised I’d aim to interview all of them on video and publish them.

Thanks very much to DeviceAnywhere for helping support the evening, we’re looking to do more developer centric events soon.

Now it’s time for the GoSpoken ladies, Rebecca and Kathrin, to give us an introduction to their mobile audiobook service followed by a quick demonstration:

  1. Good stuff. But these are developers, right? As in they sit there designing and programming the software, right? They're coming across strongly as marketing/PR people. Just want to make sure a series on MIR Developers is on MIR *DEVELOPERS*…. 😉 (and please don't misinterpret this comment as “they're women, they can't be coders” – that's not what I'm saying or thinking at all).

  2. Rebecca and Kathrin from GoSpoken don't write code themselves as far as I know, Alex. But their company does — which is why I invited them. The focus was on developers. But not specifically coders. We had a few there — David Carrington of Dabr.co.uk for example, who actually DO their own code. I was looking for mobile developing companies. Not, for example, companies working in mobile advertising or device manufacturers.
