Bluetooth headsets like this should be outlawed

I can’t stand to see folk wearing Bluetooth in-ear microphone headsets out-and-about. I really can’t. It’s one of those things that seriously winds me up. I have no problem whatsoever with people wearing them for work purposes — delivery drivers, plumbers, you know, folk who have a specific use-case requirement.

Sitting on the train wearing one is entirely unacceptable.

By all means use one — but IN the office. Or, even better still, when someone is on the phone wanting to speak to you.

I know its illogical. It just winds me up.

I’m with you on that.. similar nark is wired headsets where the user is HOLDING the phone, or even worse, holding it and shouting into the base of the phone. Idiots.

Yes, it is irrational. The guy keeps his phone in the bag, or in a pocket, and thanks to the headset – he speaks hands-free. What’s so outrageous about that? Putting
the headset on and off makes completely no sense…

I totally agree, this says volumes about the person wearing it and how valuable and important they feel. I have one and use it for long calls, but I take it out and put it on instead of hindering my hearing for the entire day.

Totally agree Ewan (@ew4n:twitter ) I was stood next to a bloke in our office at the urinal and he had this little blue light flashing in his ear.  No call is so important that you have to take it in the loo!!!

Do your ear a favour, reduce the risk of ear infection and take it out until you need it!

To be slightly on this guys side; might he have a disability and this makes his use of a phone easier?  Or might he have been on a long call and forgotten to take it off when it ended?
