Microsoft considering a Palm acquisition?

This is just rumour and speculation — but it’s one of those delicious what-ifs that keep the geeks chatting long into the night.

Speculation that Palm will be scooped up by a well-capitalized tech company has intensified since the well-received release of the Palm Pre and the company’s new operating system, webOS. While most of the commentary has centered around Dell possibly acquiring Palm, recent speculation pegs Microsoft as a potential suitor.

Rumour: Vodafone’s going Android with HTC

Vodafone to bring the Storm to the UK

If you’re someone who likes Touchscreen phones, but hate the Apple iPhone to the core and WindowsMobile just isn’t your cup of tea, we might have some good news for you.

Over at Pocket-lint, there’s a story which confirms that Vodafone UK will be bringing BlackBerry Storm (also called Thunder in other news), the touchscreen handset from Research In Motion (RIM), somewhere in November. The story goes on to mention that the official announcement will be made around October.

The folks at Pocket-lint are citing multiple sources for the confirmed news, so if you’re among those eagerly awaiting the launch of the rumored handset, you may begin your countdown now. 

 

With Google’s Android, HTC’s HD and Touch 3G and now the Blackberry Storm, all set to hit the markets before christmas, do we need more choices?

Rumour – new Orange data plan?

After Ewan’s rants about Orange and its stupid data plans here, here and here, we’ve had a tip from a reader to say that Orange are looking to introduce new data plans to rival Vodafone’s.

Anyone able to confirm this?
