Crazy Frog appeal rejected

Jamba, the company behind the Crazy Frog ringtone, will be forced to rethink its marketing strategy after it failed in its latest bid to overturn ban on its adverts before 9pm. The ruling, released today, is Jamba’s second defeat in its quest to reverse an earlier Advertising Standards Authority decision restricting the ads that helped make the ringtone a best seller.

If you actually sit down and explain this sort of service to a consumer, I’m firmly of the view that they will definitely not subscribe. But when it’s flashing up on screen all the time, it’s all to easy to ‘try it out’.
