Global MMS price still > USD 0.35

Global MMS price still above USD 0.35 as traffic volumes remain low; "Average global cost of 30KB MMS was USD 0.37 in December 2005 "; Average price ratio compared to SMS reached 4.07, down from 4.19 in December 2004; Only three operators recorded MMS traffic above 100 million messages in Q3 2005

Seriously, I know the arguments for the increased data cost but surely, surely it makes more sense to move the MMS cost down to text message levels?   Or it’s always going to be a lame service.  The more and more consumers who are weaned on the "MMS is really expensive" perspective, the worse off the carriers will continue to be.
