MMS to take off over next 18-24 months

US mobile messaging and data services provider Mobile 365 expects Central American telecommunications operators to make a big push to promote multimedia messaging services over the next 18-24 months

Yes, well, another one of those prediction press release/news pieces.  As per the previous post, there’s little point promoting MMS when you’re still charging 10 pence (or thereabouts) for the ability to transmit 160 characters.  How stupid do we have to be?  I think we all get that, well, since the medium of SMS took off, it’s convenient and useful (but still not anywhere near ‘user friendly’) — and since there was a billing model in place, fine.

But don’t try and shove MMS on to us.  AND make us pay three times the price.  We underestimate consumers, we really do.
