The Apple iPhone passes the girlfriend test

23082007166

With flying colours. I showed it to her last night, wondering just what she’d make of it.

I handed it to her already connected to WiFi so she could see the web working with it. I expected, being a bit of a geek, that I might need to explain the workings of it — but not at all. She immediately started ‘using it’. She got that the single button on the bottom takes you home. She got the user interface right-away. That is fantastic user interface design.

She had a look at the email, the phone bit and the other features (“oooh it does satellite pictures”) before I asked her the killer question: Would you have one?

(Bear in mind she’s been a solid E61 and N95 user for a while now).

Her answer: OH DEFINITELY!

That’s good news for Apple then.
