Carphone’s Free Laptop with broadband service

Yesterday, the free newspapers in London, the London Paper and the London Lite, were plastered in a two page advertisement featuring Carphone Warehouse’s free laptop offer. If you take out their broadband service, you’ll get a free Dell laptop.

Good deal, I think. I reckon that will get a lot of people on to the internet who previously haven’t wanted to splurg a few hundred quid on a laptop — but you can cope with a monthly broadband service fee.

24 month contract. £19.99 a month. But you do also get 8mb broadband, a free wireless router and a 40gb monthly traffic allowance — fine for most users.

  1. tried to get the free laptop offer but it took over 3 hours only to be told that we didnt qualify and even tho im not tied to a contract they still wouldn’t let us have one.

  2. signed up middle of january. transfer to aol was seamless. the laptop arrived 1 week later. great deal i was paying out roughly 15 pounds a month anyway so 20 is fine by me. at least carphone are trying something different in the broadband market. im more than happy
