Beam It Up Scotty Sends Files To Your Mobile Easily

beamitupscotty
From the developers of Mister-Wong.com comes a new mobile oriented service, creatively named Beam-It-Up-Scotty.com. Aside from the generous use of hyphens in the URL, Beam It Up Scotty is a phenomenal service that you can use to get any sort of file on your mobile device.

Beam It Up Scotty allows you to upload any sort of file via their website, choose the compression, and then enter your mobile number (in international format) and wa-la! Seconds later you receive a download link directly to your handset. Media files can be automatically converted by the system to offer smaller filesize and quicker downloads, and anything their system doesn’t recognize can simply be converted into a zip file.

The only limitation is that audio and video files will be capped at 5 minutes and you are limited to 10 uploads per day. Files sit around on the server for a month, so you can easily forward the download link to as many friends as you’d like to.

Give it a go and be prepared to wonder ‘why didn’t I think of that?’
