StayOnline and LodgeNet; phoned’em about my crap connection

I called the ‘800 number’ from my hotel phone line this evening. I spoke to a chap and described my issue with the dead-slow 3k/sec ‘high speed’ internet connection. I asked him if he could restart the router — or something — anything, to help make the thing faster.

He did some hunting then said he’d call me back. You never know, perhaps I will be able to work from the hotel tomorrow if he can resolve the problem.

When I was on the phone to him, the call quality was abysmal. It was on my end, I think. It was ridiculous. Noise on the line, audio going up and down in volume, echos all over the place. Almost every hotel phone I’ve used in the last few months has been ridiculous in terms of quality. What happened? They used to be dependable!

Anyway, I am living in a small amount of hope to see if my connection will suddenly get fast.
