Dashwire syncing comes out of beta – not yet there for Symbian

I first saw an application called Dashwire launch in beta status back in April. If you use windows mobile this the application can be downloaded to sync your mobile over the air to a free account on dashwire.com.

As it doesn’t do Nokia yet I’ve sadly been able to do very little other than take the demo. For those with a better phone than me, however, it can grab all of your text messages, contacts, pictures, call history bookmarks…

In fact, the one complaint (other than not doing my phone yet) I’ve heard is that it will not sync ringtones. I am, however, impressed that it will also convert the mobile messages into conversations. The most recent release will also sync your mobile with Facebook and Twitter.

According to CNET, support for symbian should happen within the next couple of months.

  1. I [almost] love this little program. It does do a superb job with phone numbers and text messages, so you don't miss a beat. But, I can't get it to get pictures from the phone to save my life.

  2. Hey poz sorry to hear that your pictures aren't syncing. If your phone numbers and text messages are working, the pictures should be too. Make sure your on automatic sync. And if it still doesn't work check out our support (http://www.dashwire.com/help/issues) and we'll try to see what/where the problem is.
