Will the Nokia iPhone rival be used by the dark Knight

I’m a man in his late 20s and, like all my friends, I cannot wait until the 24th for the next Batman movie. If it’s one fifth as good as the last installment of the it will be worth twice the cost of the cinema ticket.

So it’s not surprising that it’s hot advertising territory. I had a phone call this morning telling me tha the Nokia rival to the iPhone will be featuring in it. Or, more precisely, a keyless phone that looks as sexy as the iPhone, will make the movie.

A quick web trawl backs this up, it seems the Tube phone (or 5800 as Nokia will sadly insist on calling it) will be handed from Morgan Freeman, Batman’s very own Q, to Christian Bale and have five seconds on screen.

With the film’s status among us sad geeky types it wouldn’t surprise me if this was true as it is the perfect opportunity to launch it. The film will also be laden with Nokia images.

Ultimately, it just adds weight to the rumours but, as Tech Radar puts it, “with Nokia and its past record with spy shots, that could be anytime from next week until never.”

  1. We all know what phone the Joker will be using….

….if you gotta go, go with a (Symbian) smile……..oh, just don't forget to Select Access Point first……

  2. this is a smart move by nokia
the 7710 sold in huge numbers off the back of a 2 second slot in 'the matrix'
which actually wasn't even the 7710 – but the 8??? banana phone mocked up to auto open.

sadly the tube/5800 isnt so revolutionary to spark such a universal ' WANT'

that said – i cant wait to get one. and probably on '3' now that they seem so switched on to users needs and want.
