Congratulations to the team at GetJar who have just secured a further $11m of funding for their Series B round from Accel Partners. Rich Wong of Accel explains:

“We doubled down in this Series B due to GetJar’s momentum as the leading open platform in the mobile apps space. Mobile app developers need to get discovered, build a marketing channel for mobile users, and scale to massive user bases. With over 1 Billion downloads to date, Getjar has led the industry to create this unique, cross platform app store solution.”

GetJar are most certainly motoring. They’re enabling hundreds of developers to get their apps out to millions of consumers quickly and easily. In the past year GetJar have tripled their number of employees, quadrupled the monthly app downloads and they’ve signed partnerships with super-operators such as Sprint. Good news.
