I just backed this for $500: The Mobile Pad Cloud stand

I liked this idea so much, I decided to put my money where my mouth is. What is it? Well, it’s called The Mobile Pad Cloud. It’s a piece of foam that makes sitting with an iPad for any length of time a little bit nicer.

The Mobile Pad Cloud is…

… a triangle with a cavity on two sides, one vertical, one horizontal. You choose which cavity to sink your device into; horizontal to view Netflix Watch Instantly or Vertical to play Sudoku. You can even use it with a friend at a coffee shop; one device in each cavity!

I know it sounds silly, but if you use your iPad a lot when you’re sitting down in front of the TV — or sitting up in bed — this neat little concept should really help avoid tennis elbow. Holding the iPad for extended periods of time is a bit of an arse. This piece of foam fixes that.

It’s ridiculously simple, but I’d have one.

Which is why I pledged $500 for the project which means, if it is funded, I’ll qualify for a few prototypes and 8 all new stands. I’ll keep one and give the rest away here on MIR.

You too can contribute toward the project on this Kickstarter page.

Nice idea Tricia. Every success!
