Want to go to the Champions League final? Talk to Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson is the official mobile handset manufacturer of the UEFA Champions League — and they’ve just kicked off a search for some special mobile galacticos that would like to go to the Wembley final on May 28th.

In case the Champions League has already passed you by, the key information you need to know is that Manchester United will be squaring up against FC Barcelona. It will be a match to watch, I’m sure.

If you’d like to be there, here are the details you need:

The Football FANatic campaign will bring a Manchester United FC fan and an FC Barcelona fan to London to drum up support for their respective sides amongst Londoners, using their Sony Ericsson Xperia smartphones. They will be paired with two London based Football FANatics who will use their local knowledge to help them reach as many fans as possible in London and beyond.

Football FANatics from Manchester and London interested in the role should visit www.facebook.com/sonyericssonfootballfanatic to enter. They must explain why they are the biggest Football FANatic and why they should be chosen for this fantastic opportunity to go to this year’s spectacular UEFA Champions League Final Wembley 2011 in London.

In the week running up to the UEFA Champions League Final Wembley 2011, the Football FANatics will team up to host events, write blogs, secure endorsement from footballing heroes, film themselves on their Sony Ericsson Xperia smartphones and take part in footballing challenges to convince British football fans that their team is the best. Come 28 May, Sony Ericsson hopes all of London and the UK will be fully behind one team or another.

The winning pair, who generate the most number of followers on Facebook, will go to the UEFA Champions League Final Wembley 2011, courtesy of Sony Ericsson.
