Revolut’s Roaming eSIM: 1 week later

This week I have been using Revolut’s new eSIM capability whilst I was in Sweden for Stockholm FinTech Week.

I’m an Ultra subscriber so I get 3GB of data included every month. So I just installed the eSIM and … boom… I was connected in about 30 seconds.

I’m pleased to report that it was fast. I tested roaming with my 3UK sim and I couldn’t tell the difference.

Sometimes with third party roaming services, I feel like there’s a bit of a delay – sometimes it’s in the mind, but other times it’s actually accurate because your data is being routed through a specific (and perhaps, lower priority) gateway. Or it’s having to VPN around the place.

So well done Revolut. Well done 1GLOBAL. It was seamless, fast, excellent.

This will now be my default for data roaming, I think!

If you’re an Ultra subscriber, get it activated!

And if you’re a standard Revolut customer, it’s still worthwhile activating the eSIM in readiness for your next trip abroad. You will just need to top up in the app.
