I heard from a rather influential recruiter this morning. He’s on the hunt for a hotshot. There’s no specific position yet so the opportunity is wide open.
Here are some keywords and phrases that were mentioned: –
– Scrum master
– Head of Dev
– Head of Mobile
– Head of Digital
– Involvement of experience in major applications (ideally banking, financial services, transactional)
– Ability to deliver (or have already delivered) an end-to-end programme with the app as a front end (think, banking app, shopping app — something where the app sits in front of a big existing system)
– Project management
– Ability to function at all areas particular board level
So although there’s no formal position yet, the chap is on the hunt. He’s looking for smart people who’re probably already engaged in a project (or perhaps coming to the end of one). My take is that the company is looking for someone to fix their mobile strategy and delivery and there’s a phenomenal opportunity for the right person to help steer the pre-project strategy (and the definition of the role).
