Oboe: The Great Music Locker in the Sky

Link: The Great Music Locker in the Sky :: AO – Michael Robertson interview.

So with Oboe, people will be able to copy all of their music from their local machines to a virtual music locker in the sky. They can then access the music that resides in this "locker in the sky" from any web dock, and they can sync it to any other PC they might own.

This is something I’ve been wanting for a while.  I want to carry about a thin-client mobile device and be able to call up a music playlist and have it start playing right-away, wherever I am.  I don’t want to actually have to lump all my data around with me!  I don’t care if it streams or syncs either.  I just want it to work.  Could be good if Oboe gets moving.

  1. exactly right, I just did an interview with a french documentary team about citizen journalism and they asked me what I thought was in the future. The thin client was my answer, oboe is a step towards that, nice.
