Check a product’s Halal status by text

Muslims can now get confirmation on the halal status of a product easily and promptly through the short messaging service of the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (Jakim).

"They only need to type the word "halal" and enter the product’s bar code and send it to 32728.

Really smart!
