A minor girl, believed to be in ‘love” with a 31-year-old man, almost got sucked into a sex racket when she was allegedly filmed in a sexually explicit position by two persons in connivance with her boyfriend.
The boyfriend and his accomplices, who secretly filmed her by a camera phone, demanded more sexual favours from her using the MMS clip for blackmail, according to the police.
Whilst this story definitely highlights how ingrained MMS has become in Indian society (which, from a mobile industry perspective, is always good news), it also acts as a warning to those who might not yet have a grasp on the fact that once it’s digital, and particularly once it’s on a mobile phone, it can be easily copied, and copied, and copied, and copied….
