Three.co.uk marketing too good

Dsc00070

Dsc00071

I got the above brochure through the post today.  Really sexy glitzy marketing.  Very well done.

The problem for the marketing chaps? Their product actually lets them down.

"Everything from music to games, football, comedy, the news and ringtunes …"

Everything that YOU have decided I can have.  That’s the fundamental point.  I’d be quite happy if I could just access the internet on my Three mobile.

Gahhhh.  It winds me up.  It really does.

I use my Three mobile as a phone.  A phone.  I SPEAK to people on it.  Isn’t that ridiculous?   I just use up the minutes and a few texts.  I don’t bother using the browser on it because there’s nothing — absolutely nothing — that their content portal offers me.

You can’t even use ShoZu or anything like that. Or Hotxt or anything that requires you open internet access.

I’m too far gone along the road of geekdom.  I specify my entertainment myself with the likes of mobileglu.  I get my mobile email from gmail.

Gahhhhhh.  How annoying to get some good looking marketing through the door about it all — instant depression!
