Three’s X-Series – fixed monthly fee for internet access

Link: X-Series

Why should you pay per minute, per message, per click, per megabit?

Because my ridiculously stupid ‘mobile media network’ company insisted that I do.

But not any more.

Finally, Three appear to have seen the light….

Maybe this was the story that made the 6 o’clock news on BBC 1? I didn’t hang around to find out, as The Simpsons was on and I couldn’t be arsed to Sky+ the news :)

It was — according to the BBC site. Bit of an arse that it was ‘launched’ but not actually available to anyone yet…. but still, could be a big fan of it myself.

shit, if they’re offering me an unlimited (fair use) data use contract, combining video and voice minutes with a text bundle for something like Oranges Dolphin plan at £35 quid? I’d actually *jump* at going over to three right now.

They’ve chosen just the right progressive partner in Sony Ericsson (at least for the UK), and if they deliver what they say, then this is the true arrival of 3G in this country.

Steve – its their existing product offering, on a couple of nice symbian handsets with flat price data (no pricing yet), plus a mobile spinvox and another app that turns your home pc into a web server and lets your phone access the files on it. Quite a long sentance.

    Went into the three shop
they told me it would be
10 GBP per month on top of the normal three plan
you get 50 hours of slingbox viewing
    1GB per month download
including your skype calls i guess
