Good morning, lots to do, lots happening

Well there’s a lot happening this week.

1. The Apple iPhone is officially launched in the UK on the 9th of November (this Friday). The fact that every Carphone Warehouse in the country will be screaming it’s arrival will, I’m sure, result in a hugely busy month for them. When I was in the Apple Store on Regent Street last week, the chap there was explaining that people queued right around the block for the new Leopard version of OSX, so goodness knows what they’ll do for the iPhone.

2. Google. So what the hell is going on with Google and mobile? All those who’ve been reporting an announcement for today, let’s be ‘avin you (as the local Policeman might say). I look forward to superlative and shocking news from the search giant, possibly sometime this afternoon, allowing for timezones. It’s that, or we’ll sit and stare in silence here at SMS Text News every time there’s a mere mention of Google, Phone, Gphone, gPhone and all that jazz.

3. News. I’m positively overflowing with stuff to publish and that’s what I’m going to do.

4. The 3 Skypephone is a joyous piece of technology to use.

5. I’ve got some pictures to publish of the K770i launch featuring the Sugababes. And Peaches Geldof. Bob Geldof’s daughter, right?

6. The Flower Fairy flies today. To whom, nobody but Krystal knows…

7. I am now an o2 customer. FACT.

8. I am now a Blackberry Curve owner. FACT!

9. If you could ask the Carphone Warehoue anything about the upcoming Apple iPhone launch, what would you ask? Post your comments here and I’ll put it to them later this afternoon when we meet.

10. Survey results! The results are in and we’re all winners. And only a small percentage of readers owned up to carrying their mobile handsets in holsters. Deeper analysis shortly.

  1. 02 have never let me down, I’ve been with them for about 7 years and they’re fantastic! Whats the Curve like?

  2. 9 — “When are you expecting the 3G version?” — apparently as early as next spring.
And “What will be the charge to upgrade from Edge?”

  3. How you liking the Curve?

It is the best BB ever in my books. I have paired it with a set of Motorola Bluetooth S9 Headphones and a 2GB Micro SD Card and its a perfect companion at the gym for a workout and to stay on top of email.
